The 2019 Scirocco Manitoba High School Playwriting Competition Presentations

Saturday, June 1st, Noon, at Prairie Theatre Exchange!

MAP’s Scirocco Manitoba High School Playwriting Competition has teamed up with Prairie Theatre Exchange’s Youth Acting Conservatory to present this year’s winning plays at the PTE New Works Festival, Saturday, June 1st at Noon, on the PTE main stage.

The four playwrights have been working with their dramaturg and with the Conservatory ensemble for the past 4 months, doing rewrites and participating in workshops and readings, and the company has been hard at work rehearsing the 4 short plays to be shared at the June 1st presentation.

The Winning Plays -

Forget Me Not by Katie Dodgeson (St. John’s Ravenscourt)
Keys to the Castle by Nina Hutsulak (St. Mary’s Academy)
The Good Germ by Lindsey Taylor (College Lorette Collegiate)
Happily Ever After Ever After by Mona Zorigoo (Kelvin High School)

The PTE Youth Acting Conservatory Ensemble - William Carrette, Ashlin Daly, Nina Eilber, Sophie Helmer, Nora Kroeger, Ella Scratch, Seraphim Scratch, Darian Shaw, Maia Woods, and Aidan Zeglinski

Running time will be approximately 90 minutes.

Admission is free, with a hat-passing for donations to the Festival.
