Synopsis: Guns Blazing, a mystery-comedy set in Winnipeg, follows a man named Gus who concocts a scheme involving his friends and family to arrange a meeting with Diane, a woman he’s never met before. With the shady past of his parents and the quiet intensity of his best friend Herman haunting him, Gus slips toward the mysterious meeting, never knowing if his goals will be accomplished or if he’ll be the same again.
Guns Blazing explores how we find it so hard to break out of our childhood dreams, how we rely on friends and family more than we like to admit, and the crucial question of generations past: “Where does courage end and stupidity begin?”
