The PlayLab offers support tailored to the needs of the professional playwright and their project, as well as artists creating theatre within a devised, collective or multi-disciplinary framework, in all stages of development. The PlayLab also supports projects already in development with a professional theatre. These services may include readings, workshops, dramaturgical support, residencies and retreats, and networking opportunities & play promotion, as well as development strategies specifically designed for the needs of contemporary forms, styles, or creation methodologies.
Please contact Brian in the MAP office if you’d like to discuss possibilities.
Please note that MAP uses the Playwrights Guild of Canada full membership criteria to define "professional".
The PlayLab Series is generously sponsored by the Gail Asper Family Foundation.
