Sue Proctor is offering a 6-week course focused on clowning as an inroad to explore the expression of your own creativity
These workshops offer valuable techniques for cultivating creative thinking, problem-solving and exploring performance that supports personal and professional development. They are not focused on American Circus Clown or birthday party clown, but on clowning as an inroad to explore the expression of your own creativity. Discover or rediscover the creative joy in your work. Develop a storytelling persona, challenge your limitations and learn to use humour. This class is for storytellers, writers, students, artists and service providers.
Each session is Monday evenings for 6 weeks beginning September 23,
(there will be no class on Thanksgiving)
7:30-9:30 pm in the Rory Runnells Studio,
Room 504, Artspace, 100 Arthur St.
Cost before Sept 20 - $120 for 6 classes/after Sept 20 - $140
Facilitator Sue Proctor is a storyteller and workshop leader with the Winnipeg International Storytelling Festival and has developed many original stories and theatre pieces. A teacher with MTYP, Artists in the Schools and a member of the Manitoba Storytelling Guild, Sue has a M.A. in Theatre and Development, as well as background in commedia dell’arte, arts education, theatre for people with disabilities, and clown performance.
