Congratulations to Frances Koncan and Wren Hookey.

The Tom Hendry Awards are presented each year by the Playwrights Guild of Canada.  There are categories for drama, comedy, musicals, and emerging playwrights.  To see the list of all the short-listed plays, visit the PGC website.

Frances Koncan's play The Dance-off of Conscious Uncoupling (recently presented at Sarasvati's FemFest) is in contention for the Stage West Pechet Family Comedy Award.

Wren Hookey is up for the Playwrights Guild of Canada Emerging Playwright Award for Bystander.

Vern Theissen (kind of an honorary Manitoba playwright) is a short-listed nominee for the Stage West Pechet Family Musical Award for The Best Laid Plans (co-created with Benjamin Elliot & Anton Lipovetsky).
