Trish Cooper wins Chris Johnson Award

Trish's play "Social Studies" won the 2017 award for best play by a Manitoba playwright.

Winnipeg playwright Trish Cooper's "Social Studies" was awarded the Chris Johnson Award at the Manitoba Book Awards on April 22, 2017.  "Social Studies" was produced by Prairie Theatre Exchange in 2015, has had productions in Quebec and British Columbia, and was recently published by Scirocco Drama.

Other plays shortlisted for the 2017 Chris Johnson Award were "Marriage: A Demolition in Two Acts" by Rick Chafe (produced at Prairie Theatre Exchange, 2016), "Shiksa" by Cairn Moore (produced at Winnipeg Jewish Theatre, 2016), "Reservations" by Steven Ratzlaff (produced at Theatre Projects, 2016).
