Synopsis: A grandmother shares stories of The Great Hunger - the Great Famine 1840's Ireland with her grand-daughter including travel aboard the coffin ships and eventually landing of her ancestors at the quarantine island of Grosse Ile.
History: Play commissioned by the Tara Players 1995 as part of the World-wide 150th Commemoration of the Great Famine. Produced by the Tara Players in Winnipeg, and at Milwaukee's "Irish Fest"; in 1996 it was produced in Chicago, by Chicago Irish Players; and in Limerick, Ireland at the Honey Fitz Theatre.
